Crossing Borders (Cambodia-Thailand)

After staying for two days in Siem Reap, my husband and I decided to go to Bangkok. After much research, we know that we can just easily cross the Cambodia-Thailand border through land transpo.

Here are the details of what we did:
We asked our hotel to fetch us a taxi that will take us to Poipet (near Aranyaprathet) . The fare is $30 (which is quite expensive compare to the bus fare). We chose this option because we wanted to enjoy the travel without hassle. The taxi's a new Toyota car, the driver was helpful and polite. From Siem Reap to Poipet, it took us 1 hour and a half (this is kinda fast compare to usual).

From Poipet, we walked to the Cambodia and Thailand immigration. It was very easy. After passing through the Thailand immigration, we rode a tuktuk (around 10 baht each) to the bus terminal. We were blessed to arrive there just in time. The bus was scheduled to leave by 11am. Bus fare is around 450baht each which isn't bad because we had free snacks (water, coffee, bread, sweets). It only took us around four hours because we reached the terminal at around 3pm.

At 4pm, we were at the guesthouse already. We slept for a few hours and by 7pm, we were ready to explore Bangkok! :)
